Assignment: Evidence-Based Fitness Plan Design

  • Description:
    Learners will design a one-week fitness plan that is supported by course concepts and research evidence.

  • Instructions:

    1. Create a weekly schedule that includes at least 3–5 sessions balancing cardio, strength, flexibility, and recovery.

    2. For each workout, explain your reasoning using at least one principle (FITT, progressive overload, SMART goals, etc.).

    3. Write a 300–350 word analysis discussing:

      • How your plan aligns with your chosen fitness goal.

      • How you will maintain consistency and motivation.

      • How nutrition, rest, and mental wellness support your plan.

    4. Reference at least two credible sources (course text, scholarly articles, or instructor-provided materials).

  • Submission Guidelines:

    • Format: Submit in assignments page

    • Include schedule + written analysis.

    • APA citations required.

    • Due Sunday at 11:59 PM (CST).
